Questions for the Canadians here.

Is it true that Winnipeg was originally 'Winapig' because a pig was a prize for the winner of the naming contest?

Is true that Manitoba is changing its name to Womanitoba?

Is it true doctors have found a cure for Winnipegosis?

1. All true, plus....

Canada is one day ahead of the US, as during WWII, to ensure the Axis powers didn't attack when everyone was in church, they moved Canada a day ahead.

2. Winnipeg is the Cree word for muddy water. Winnipeg was named

after lake Winnipeg. We are fortunate in Canada that we 'named' so many places after their indigenous names.

3. Dildo, Canada was not named in honor of a best friend.

Crotch Lake is located in Ontario as is Ball's Falls.
