Has anyone else?

Recently, I decided to tempt fate, and see how long I could go without Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, or any of my many Social Media Accounts.

Especially after seeing News Reports of the Vaxer kid who stated that his 'Mom gets all of her news from Facebook'. I'd already ditched by that point, but glad to know that maybe I've done the right thing.

Anyone else ditched Social Media?

2. Nope, and I'm not going to, either.

I love my social media accounts! I have good friends all over the place.

I post my photos on them and get feedback and compliments.

It's a big window onto the outside world and I love traveling there.

I am retired and if I didn't have them, I would be bored.

3. Nope, I enjoy FB, sorry I do.

I have reconnected with friends all over the country. I see pictures of their kids and spouses. I don't get around as well as I used to in terms of air travel, so this is my chance to see them all! I keep track of former students of mine and my husband. I know it has it's issues, but I do enjoy it.

5. Not to say I didn't enjoy Social Media

But I had let it grow to be too large a chunk of my day. Retired for almost a year, and the longer into that year of Retirement I found that I was spending more with Social Media, than life itself.

4. Last November I opted out of Facebook

Too many relatives who are Trumpers, just couldn't take it anymore.

7. another valid reason

Why I'm off Social Media. There's simply no reasoning with trumpers.

6. I've never gotten started. Most seem fairly pointless, and Facebook always repulsed me.

I have found some interesting music on YouTube, so credit where credit's due.

16. Same here.

Never got involved in any of them. I have email and I go utoob once in a while to watch something, never comment on anything. Onlyu other place I interact is DU.

8. Staying put on Facebook. I communicate daily with family and old friends...

I block unwanteds, keep myself quite private and donít read the screaming junk.
And okay, guilty...I watch clips from The Dodo because I adore animals

I am not a Twitterphyle but my kids have feeds so ďmomĒ follows them!

9. I don't use any of them. Used to do Facebook, but I don't miss it. Maybe I should change my

screen name to Barnie Rubble.

10. I quit looking at Facebook last April and it wasn't hard

I still use messenger though to keep in contact. Now occasionally if a post from a friend appears in my email I might check. But getting off was easier than I thought. I didnít deactivate my account though. I used to look at Facebook several times a day. I was so angry reDing that the Russians were responsible for influencing people on Facebook with stupid Hillary Clinton posts that were outright lies. Plus I got tired of my friends vanity posts about how they had these great Social lives.

My life is a lot less complicated.

11. I like DU and YouTube, that's the extent of my social media. I find YouTube

absolutely fascinating, there is just soooo much and historically a lot of it is quite interesting, seeing places I will never be, etc., etc.

12. I don't know how I could arrange to work in animal rescue if I weren't on Facebook.

It has been a reliable tool for raising awareness of animal welfare issues and for getting animals out of county animal control facilities to rescue groups. It has also helped tremendously with spay/neuter clinics and informing the public about backyard breeding operations and puppymills.

Edit to add: How did we ever keep up with lost pets before social media? Works better than posters and is a lot quicker.

15. Won't stay away forever

Trying my best to get my 'home without wheels' ready, so I can sell, as well as work on my home with wheels (Airstream Motorhome). Once one is sold, and other is road-ready, most likely will activate them all, just so my former co-workers, family and friends can follow along in my travels across North America.

14. Don't use any of them.

Email, a bit of texting, and that ancient contraption called a telephone work just fine for me.

I hang out in a couple of online groups, but that's about it.

enough money in the world for me joining Twitter.

19. I don't really use anything except Pinterest and I watch You Tube videos, but I don't

communicate with people on those sites. I have a Facebook account from a long time ago, but I hate Facebook and never go on unless I get an email message from someone that I like.

22. I have a YouTube account.

It'd probably take me most of a half hour trying to get into it. Not necessary for what I use YouTube for.

21. Hmm...well.

Easier for me than you might think.

No Facebook.
No Twitter.
No Instagram.

I guess all that rock and roll I listen to on YouTube is probably rotting my brain, though.
