Getting old.

one day you're fine, and then the next day your like Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

Like the lyrics in Pink Floyd's "Time"...

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

2. I was attacked by a dozen ninjas and messed my back up.

Just kidding. I sneezed in the shower and couldn't move for 3 days.

Life's hard. No one has survived it yet

I like the ninja story better though, so I'm gonna change it to that.

3. Yep...

I'm beginning to understand my late mom when she used to tell me "getting old sucks!" (To which my reply was always "true...unless you consider the alternative."

4. I must say that for me it hasn't been anything sudden, just

a bit of a gradual decline.

I'm 70 and have some of the usual aches and pains, but when I look at a lot of people my age, especially when I go to class reunions, I'm astonished at how badly off some people are. And at the risk of being very annoying, it's the smokers, even the former smokers, who are the worst off.

Not that any of us get out of here alive.

I also get annoyed at the way my age mates think old and act old, even without any physical slowing down. I think the reason so many people are genuinely astonished when I tell them my age, is that I have the liveliness of someone at least a decade longer. I hope I never lose that.

Meanwhile, to all of you suffering the infirmities if age, my sympathies. I do have an old back injury that periodically decides to punish me, so I do know at least some of what you're going through.

5. I just turned 60.

Everything after 18 has been bonus time, so I shouldn't gripe, but an F with 14 u's is spot on.

But it beats the alternative.
