I found a 1979 mg mgb hope Santa gets it for me

Only 5000 miles on rebuilt engine cost 2200$ I’m thinking about buying it. Why I had one in 87 after army and commuted to work until I hit a deer with it in 95. Mostly between April and November then I would drive my Jeep cuz of winter , now the problem is my wife the voice of reason to my impulsive ways.

The voice of reason she mentioned ok you are driving the 2010 Kia Forte you have 72 beetle the 2010 mustang GT but the daughter and son in law have that my son in law uses the mustang to drive to work. Why because I’m not sure dear I have to come up with a logical reason in my quest for this mg I’m a guy I’m 52 that is logical enough I think.

(always a problem with British cars) I would go for it even if I had to bargain away the Beetle.

Something occasionally stopped the engine, and twice a day I had to pull over to let it cool down. Heard it was the plugs overheating, but who knows... Only rented it because it was a lot cheaper than the Opel.

Previous to that, I owned a '60's Beetle and I never dared drive it that far, but it did have a small problem of never having the power to pass a slow truck.

But, to each his own. I've heard horror stories from MG owners too, but I'd still go with it.

and it was so much fun. It cost $600 in 1970. Then it started stalling out, just stopping at inconvenient times. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with it and arranged to trade it in for a used VW, but the week before the deal was to be consummated we found that the goddam *thermostat* was bad. $1.79 and it was running like new (well, maybe not like new), but it was too late. One of the big regrets of my life, getting rid of that car. And it was BRG, too.

One of my contractors collects trans-ams. He's got every anniversary addition. He's got like 12. Anyway, he offered his 78 gold addition to me for $15000. Just to get it out of his garage. There's a strong voice of reason over here too. I feel your pain.

I wish American hot rods would go around corners like this thing did, it really pissed off Corvette and Mustang owners! On twisty curves the 'Vettes had a terrible time keeping up with me,and in the 1/8 mile a 5.0 liter Mustang never stood a chance!
