Mitchell Guist Dead: 'Swamp People' Star Dies In Louisiana

"Swamp People" star Mitchell Guist died Monday morning after suffering an apparent seizure, according to TMZ.

Louisiana's Assumption Parish officials confirmed to WBRZ.com that the alligator-hunter died along the Belle River at roughly 9:00 AM.

I don't really know any but I know one generation out of those swamps for sure. That wonderful accent makes me smile. My granddaddy, who wasn't a Cajun, must have hung with a lot of them because he talked a lot like that.

Swamp People is a guilty pleasure. I hate seeing the gators killed though I know there are many, many of them out there, but now and then I just have to tune in and enjoy their joy in what they do. Man died being him. Can't beat that.
