2. I love the stuff

There would be a family rebellion if I didn’t make it (or tried to alter the recipe to make it “healthy” )
My DIL is making her 1st Thanksgiving this year and is proudly carrying on the GBC tradition.

4. It used to make it....

The only way it was palatable: Use like 3-4 cans of those French's onions.

Family crossed it off the menu permanently about 20 years ago.

5. I'm truly on the fence about GBC (Green Bean Casserole), but

if you pair it with a smoky, full bodied Sauvignon Blanc with melodious undertones of citrus and melon notes, I will jump right into the GBC with relish.

7. I recommend any Sauv Blanc from New Zealand.

Tight, grassy full of citrus....give me a bottle of Kim Crawford and skip the GBC!

12. Yes it is!

Costco has it at a really good price more often than not. Cheers!

13. Any cheap Retsina.

The overtones of turpentine cleanse the palate of any leftover Green Bean Casserole.

8. Nope....

I have never understood the reason to ruin perfectly wonderful green beans by adding mushroom soup to them! Yuk! And topped with fake-like onions too...
nope, I want my beans to be natural and taste like green beans, and be dressed with only some butter, a bit of garlic and pepper. What's wrong with that? Remember that saying...If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

10. Once, and only once a year is this dish made at my home....

Thanksgiving only, and it's the one thing my daughter requests! Not bad right out of the oven, but nasty reheated....

Happy Holidays, sagesnow!
