I know Aristus, and this is the sort of observation he has from his clinical work. He's a PA. CaliforniaPeggy Sep 2018 #4

what was just said on MSNBC or CNN that can somehow relate to the observation, or if it's just really an observation you had at work.

Also, this is The Lounge, where this sort of topic is expected, and appropriate.

Anybody but him and I would *know* it was an ironic or witty comment about something else, but, you know what I mean about oblique posts these days of such rapidly evolving events that everybody assumes everybody else will get the reference?

in North Africa. Many of those patients contracted rashes and staph due ( on their left hands ) due to lack of sanitation for bowel movements. We kept getting them and we just couldn't figure it out until several of our medical guides told us about how most use their left hand because they eat with their right hand.

We were able to get some organizations to donate sanitation products along with hand sanitizer and alcohol cleaning stations.

Just some anecdotal weirdness for your thread!

There are 'chest pain' days, 'shortness of breath' days, and I guess today was 'infected fingers of left hand' day. Lots of specimens to culture, prescribed antibiotics when appropriate, wound cleansing, and bandaging.

That's it. I'm beat. Crazy-busy day. I'm going to go home and cry myself to sleep...

(Not really, but you get the idea... )
