3. Deliverance. Made in mountains where I still hike and

hear that damn banjo on the trail, and see locals that look much the same. I think the area went 85+% for trump.

5. I snuck in to see The End when I was 13

By today's standards, it's hard to imagine it was rated R.

Smokey & The Bandit makes no sense to anyone under 45. Why go from Atlanta to Texarkana to get Coors? Why not just go to Kroger?

WW & the Dixie Dance Kings is a hidden gem; Hooper is just pure fun (as is Smokey). Longest Yard is probably my favorite, but that's this week.

And FWIW, I had a huge crush on Loni Anderson as a young man, but Sally Field is the one he should have married. JMHO.

11. Coors wasn't licensed to be sold east of the Mississippi.

It wasn't distributed nationally until the mid '80s.

Those boys in Atlanta wanted Coors.

12. Back in the old days of the ICC

Back when certain products weren't sold eat=of or west-of the Mississippi, and beer was still largely regional.

I remember it was chic back then to hold a Coors beer party if you lived on the East Coast.

6. Semi-Tough

Little seen gem. Smokey probably number two. Eastbound and down...

9. "Deliverance" by a mile.

Made when he was a serious, capable actor. Before he was just a pretty face in a series of stupid-looking cowboy hats.
