(90,740 posts)Nina is dead. Oleg is in prison. Stan feels responsible. He can't kill his best friends. He simply can't.

(90,740 posts)And he'd almost have to after that ending. Professionally, he's a joke now. His best friend and neighbor a Russian spy? Yeah - he's done at the FBI.
He'll take care of Henry - they both love each other - and if Paige isn't too stupid, she'll go to him as well. Though he might not trust Paige. She could always play the but my parents card...truthfully, she was their victim too. How could she tell on her parents? Paige worked to protect Henry - and that goes in her favor. Her mother often used Paige's good heart as a means of manipulation.
Of all of them, Paige is the one I worried about - at the end.
Henry will hate his parents and be ashamed - but he'll have Stan.
Chances are the KGB will kill both Philip and Elizabeth (and Arkady and Oleg's family). Gorbachev wasn't in power long - their protection after what they all did - defy the KGB to protect Gorby.

At this point, Stan should think about keeping himself out of prison. I think, maybe, being married to a spy would be the last straw for the authorities.
And the tragic thing is - Stan was right about them to begin with - he should have listened to himself. His instincts told him they weren't "right" - that's why he searched their garage early on.
He knew and accepted that Martha was "off" - his instincts.
He should have listened to them about P&E.
Poor Martha. She'll adopt that little girl and be reasonably happy, I think.
Claudia would put the hit on P&E. I can see that happening.
