When I was 18 I went to France for 12 days as part of a school trip. We toured a few cities in Normandy, Bretagna, stayed with a host family over Easter and then finished up in Paris. It was the best time of my life. We spent a day in Cancale and I had fresh oysters harvested just a few hours prior. They were the best oysters I have ever tasted. My buddy and I had lunch that day in a small cafe owned by this little old lady whose husband was a free France soldier who became friends with an american gi after the invasion. She was excited to have a couple american boys in her cafe.

What I wouldn't give to relive that trip again.
