I don't happen to do concerts, but I do do other things, and have been known to pay for the equivalent of a back stage pass. Never more than $100, which says a lot about the difference between rock stars and people who are well known on NPR.

A friend of mine did some special deal for U2 in Vegas. Didn't get to meet anyone, but did get an exclusive restroom and bar at the show, but the seats were really close. I would pay to get a picture with Bob, but I don't see that happening.

never understood why people want to meet celebrities or other famous people. I met Vonnegut once, by accident, and all I had to say to him (one of my favorite authors) was "hello" and then keep walking.
