I really wanted to see Ringo Starr

He's going to perform at a place about an hour away from me in September. He and Paul are the last remaining Beatles, the band that first steered me toward my love of rock n roll. He's 78, and who knows how much longer he'll be performing.

I was so disappointed to find out the tickets are in the $200 to $400 range. I can't afford that. Plus upon further investigation, the show is nearly sold out anyway.

I guess I'll just have to add concert tickets to the long list of "things that are becoming unaffordable."

3. Happening to us as well.

I did see Ringo a couple of years ago. It was fun. Each venue is different and we still have one that is mostly affordable. The others are just like yours and we cannot afford that either. Since we farm and I have a lot of animals we can rarely get away, no vacation for a long long many years so we did concerts in a town about 65 miles away. Mini fun trips. Those are about over I fear. We always saw James Taylor but we cannot anymore. It is sad.

4. Jeeez, I just looked. In places like Iowa in worst section, cheap tickets are $100 each. Ridiculous.

Closer up seats can by $400 or more. I like the Beatles a lot, but wow.

Guess I'm lucky, my favorites -- remaining members of the Byrds -- go from $20 - $35.

Sorry, but I get it.

5. I saw Ringo in 2014.

Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rollie, Steve Lukather among others. I believe the price was around $75.

6. I saw Ringo for free!

He played the Taste of Minnesota around 10 years ago and there was no admission to the event. It was awesome!
