Dogs steal mail carrier's lunch, then their apology note goes viral

In June, Carol Jordan, who owns a five-acre farm in Isle of Wight, Virginia, stopped at her mailbox and discovered a handwritten note there from the woman who delivers her family's mail.

"Our immediate thought was, 'What did the boys do now?'" she told CBS News.

"The boys" in question are Bear and Bull, Jordan's 6-year-old black Labrador/mastiffs, which she and her husband rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina as puppies. Bear and Bull are brothers from the same litter, though Jordan notes that Bull -- the smaller one with the white spot on his chest -- is the ringleader when it comes to getting into trouble.

...

The only evidence of the crime? Two small carrots in the grass next to the driveway, where the dogs had spit out the vegetables among their loot.

The dog was technically a rescue. The cat was born in my barn. He got rescued to the house in mid-winter.

my handyman's tool box and put them all over the yard. Didn't find one of the screw drivers for about 2 weeks.

sounds like they are outdoor dogs, though. Prol'ly have dog houses, or at least the humane society says that if you have an outdoor dog you have to give them a dog house. These people sound like considerate people, so I'd bet they have a dog house.

I understand some people keep their dogs outside in the southern parts of the country. I had neighbors from the south and I had to disabuse them of that notion up here.
