2. Seriously, on DU??? We're going to ball slut shame in here of all places?

Kidding, I wish i had video from yesterday when my chihuahua attacked a baseball I dropped on the floor. Poor thing couldn't get her tiny mouth on it and it made her mad.

5. My wife bought a tennis ball from the pet store and the chihuahua shredded it in an hour

Now it looks like a yellow head of Larry from the Three Stooges, all frayed and whatnot.

6. My Shepherd would never tear his to pieces as he wanted to thrown for him.

No ball was safe from not being thrown for him. The biggest torture for him was making him sit and stay after you threw the ball until given permission to go get it.

9. Lacrosse ball is the answer!

My good boy can't destroy 'em and they are great for throwing!
I always have 3 at the ready and more on stand-by.

11. It constitutes Spectator Interference

Rule 6.01(e), but only if the ball is in play at the time. During warm-ups, no problem - just don't use that ball in the game.

10. My friends who own Rottweilers

Find that a bowling ball is the nest and longest lasting ball.

13. I haven't tried that yet!

We play ball with ours but we can't leave them lying around when we're done. The male loves to kick a soccer ball around but eventually eats it.

14. Best not to introduce them

To a bowling ball if you live in an apartment with wooden floors.

15. A friend brought her dog to my house.

He found my "stress ball". Needless to say, I'm really stressed out now.

16. Wouldn't Work With My Dog

The doggie i used to have would run and bring a ball back. Now, my lab, who seems natively more clever than my other dog, won't do that. If i throw a ball, he looks at me like "You threw it, you go get it!" Yet, he listens and responds positively to almost anything we tell him to do.

Fun example: We have a Cape Cod. Our garage is in the basement and the whole rest of the basement is finished, so it's like a little apartment down there. Dog spends all his time there.
The stairway to the kitchen is L shaped so there's a landing at the side door to the deck, and then 2 more steps to the kitchen.
He has NEVER gone those two steps. He's never been told he can't go into the kitchen. Not one time has he ever been corrected for going past that doorway. But, he has decided that his place is in the basement (which is not a dungeon by any stretch, as the rec room is down there.) He just kind of figured that out for himself.

17. That's so funny! Almost every Lab my family has had could play fetch all day long and

never tire of it. It would actually get kind of annoying. "Retrieving" is what they do best, I guess!
