Makes driving extra fun to play dodge-the-potholes. I think it’s a plot from places that do front-end alignments and sell tires.

To say nothing of a wheel, brake rotor, and some significant fender damage.

We had a huge amount of rain the other day. I haven't driven to town since. I think I'd better keep my eyes open, all two lane roads for a bit over 15 miles each way. Most of them are even paved.

Any state that get snow and ice gets potholes. In North Carolina, there was a pothole right in front of my subdivision had to be repaired every couple of weeks. Michigan also salts the roads, which eats away at the bottom of your car something awful.

That is not the only case, either - there are a LOT of cars that fall into sinkholes in Florida. Karst regions suck. We even have lawyers who specialize in sinkhole suits: http://flsinkholelawyer.com/trinity-sinkhole-attorney/
