Can you help me identify this TV episode?

An American man, now an adult, had a father who died as a WWII sailor. THe son was a kid then.

The son got to fooling around with a ham radio and somehow or other averted the father's death. I believe
the father was in a sub that the Germans torpedoed.

So--all is well, right? The father survived the war.

Well, yeah, but then you see Nazi soldiers on the streets, occupying the US of A.

Frequency, starring Jim Caviezel, but in that movie, his father was a firefighter who'd died fighting a fire.

EDIT: Oh, sorry. You said TV episode, not movie.

I know every episode of those shows and it is not any of them.

Maybe a Night Gallery?

Any idea if it was color or not?

If B&W there is still One Step Beyond and Tales from Tomorrow.
