The problem solving skills of this beagle are remarkable

If I were this dog's owner, I would be too impressed to be mad. This is truly something.

1. Smart dog. Me thinks this isn't the 1st time he's done it.

They say they weren't home. Yet someone set the timer on the oven. It rings at 27 secs. You can tell food and oven are hot the way the dog reacts. Animals really are amazing.

3. We had a lot of Beagles when I was growing up, but they were a

pretty lazy lot and not as bright as this smartie pants. Spoiled by all, they were tubby little beggars that loved to sleep, play tug of war and howl like banshees whenever my sister practiced playing her clarinet. I miss them all.

13. Yeah that is what makes this so impressive.

I always thought that Beagles were not so smart. I used to dog-sit for one of my neighbors when I was younger and his Beagle was cute and fun but he was not a good listener despite having gone to obedience school.

9. I am not surprised.

During the holidays I read that dogs are twice as smart as cats. However, raccoons are twice as smart as dogs. And they have little hands and thumbs too like monkeys. I can imagine what they could do in a person's house given time alone for a short while.

11. Why is there a hot oven when the human is not home?

I'm impressed by the beagle and that sweet looking kitchen, but no the humans

15. Yeah, really irresponsible.

I am guessing that they already knew their dog's abilities and wanted to make a viral video. Poor little pupper could have been burned.

12. I know dogs....THIS is flat out amazing.

He is actually using a tool ( the chair) which is one of the things that distinguishes "primitive" animals from "more intelligent" ones. in anthropology -speak.
