(52,118 posts)one point for each state, one point for each capitol.
i remember it in part because the teacher pointed out it was probably the only test we would ever take where we would have the entire set of questions and the answer key beforehand and it wasn't considered cheating.
i aced it in 8th grade (i wasn't alone by a long shot), though i can't honestly say i could still rattle off all the capitol cities perfectly, though....

(102,128 posts)the line between comedian and "regular" guy was probably not an easy one to walk and he clearly made a mistake, but unlike these RW a'holes, he is doing the right thing, NOT blaming the woman and stepping up to take responsibility. I am spitting nails that so many want to conflate his act with overt stalking of young teens and children that Moore has clearly committed--and with a believable accusation of attempted rape.

(1,967 posts)Even all the little states in the northeast.
Growing up in the west, I was flabbergasted when my friend from Maryland told me they could eat breakfast at home and then drive two states away in time for lunch.

(21 posts)This game is more challenging -- drop each state shape into an empty map of the US. You're scored on how far off from the correct location you drop it.

(15,533 posts)two of which I missed because my computer screen skipped while I was checking the correct box! What made it worse was that it one of them was a state I lived in once.
I've been to about 37 of the 50 states. Lived in four.

(16,373 posts)It's that darn NE, the only part of the country I haven't visited; it's on my bucket list. I want to set foot in every single state before I die. I got to Alaska on business many years ago, but still looking forward to Hawaii! I'd also love to rent a car and just drive around all the northeastern states some fall.
