(8,821 posts)The hell of it is that most of the products refined from that filthy "Tar Sands Oil" will be shipped straight to the huge energy markets of the Far East. The pipeline will not reduce our domestic fuel prices, those, you can bet your bottom dollar, will continue to gradually rise anyway.
Here's to Robert Kennedy! He's a man who could be cashing in, like so many others, except that he happens to give a damn.

(88 posts)While we piss and moan about the mess the bankers have wrought, the earth is burning. WE NEED TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT- IT IS WHERE WE LIVE!.
Personally I only live about 7 feet above sea level and am more than somewhat concerned as can not even sell my mighty fine home at the beach after the bankers stole my equity and value. The one good thing is that it's paid for.

(1,648 posts)And frankly, I am too. In fact, we all should not only be proud, but roused into action to urge our leaders to make decisions such as Keystone XL Tarsands Pipeline very soberly, wisely, and most of all remember that we have but one earth...

(5,198 posts)The American people do not want or need this pipeline, only those who will profit from it. They will rip through countless homes and private properties and will further ruin what groundwater we have left.
