Men love their schwansons more than anything in the world and the thought of losing it is a fate worse than death.
So if you're an ignorant, angry person already, then when someone says "trans", they hear a scissors coming for their crotch.
And it's the propagandists on the right, using that primal fear to their advantage, amplifying the few-and-far-between stories of trans people, and repeating them, and finally, just making shit up.
We'll never "win them over" on this issue. Generations will simply have to die off until there just aren't enough of these sort of morons left to freak out over it.

3. My theory is that all the trans stuff going on is to divert attention from all the criminal

investigations that are going, all against the GOP.

In my rare cynical thinking, I believe it is the far right that is putting these supposed "drag shows" where they are bringing kids, etc. in order to create division, hate and divert from all the GOP problems they are having. Also, the fact that they have run out of enemies because people don't pay attention to islamophobia anymore, and all the other hateful campaigns they have put together throughout the years. They always have to invent a new enemy.

4. It really IS very simple and obvious.

The Rethugs believe they won the abortion issue and for 50+ years that issue dragged mindless non thinking single issue voters to the polls who were easily led to think they were applying their smarts by voting R.

They needed another single issue voter cause and in the "dog don't make no mistakes" claim they found it - besides that was the go-to issue for the churches to keep collecting and claiming moral superiority.

Don't overthink it. It's that simple and designed to gather the simple=minded to the polls.
