We were going to go down there over Thanksgiving. Looks like
we'll be staying home to fix the tree damage. We may also not
have a trailer to use to camp in either. That depends on how much
the Delaware River rises. Hubby suggested bringing it to the house
last night, and I said we'll take our chances with the water rather than
the trees and wind.

the Bonner Bridge on Outer Banks Rt 12 sustained structural damage. A rumor this far.

But for sure NC 12 is washed out in a few places, like in Irene.

Thanks for pix. Okracoke is one of those places you worry about with Global Warming. A number of fragile barrier islands on the East Coast will be impacted.

One time I don't want to be right, but those who did not believe the scientists are seeing the "proof" here...not good.

The NC legislature, in all of its 'glory,' passed a law stating that there can be no language used concerning climate change and/or global warming when describing the erosion of the Outer Banks?

Just something I thought I had read on DU.
