2. And add to that the $10,000 SALT cap on the income tax/1040's.

Paying taxes on taxes that DeSantis imposed and that Trump happily gave with the tax cuts.

3. Speculation that assumes facts not in evidence

This assumes that the counties will decide to deliver the same services and fund them exclusively through taxes on local property owners.

Neither has to be the case.

If RCID actually is undone (and that's by no means certain) Disney will almost certainly still be paying - and quite possibly more than they pay now.

4. I assume that would be at Disney's option since they no

longer have any governing authority.

7. Um... no.

They'll have to pay whatever the new governing authorities decide to charge them.

Or worse yet... the governing authorities might decide not to keep up all those pristine roads and other services at the level that Disney wants them maintained.

Or both.

12. They're the people who pass laws/taxes

That’s probably why they passed this now but gave themselves over a year before it becomes effective.

Well… that along with the hope that Disney will come crawling back hat in hand.

6. Homeowners in the former Disney special districts would be taxed by the two county governments.

If so, there would be little difference between the amount of tax each homeowner pays.

Organize and stand up, battle back, practice mass disobedience…

Or, slink away…

10. There will be homeowners who are cheering DeSantis on for standing up for family values....

How dare Disney disagree, in public, with the king? The area votes Democratic, so DeSantis sees it as a win-win.
