2. This is another dimension of what the book banning crowd want to eliminate:

the complete version of our genuine history.

In the same way they have largely succeeded in erasing much of what happened in pre-civil war America, the Reconstruction period, substantial portions of the Westward Expansion, the history and effects of unions and the war on labor organizing, the attempted coup against FDR by industrialists, The Pentagon Papers and more recent iterations of the same.
