One of the most interesting, entertaining and even game-changing aspects of this years election season will be the activities of Stephen Colberts (er, sorry, FEC), Jon Stewarts Super PAC. The Super PAC was formed to shed light on the ridiculous election laws that enable candidates to raise unlimited money, as long as they dont technically coordinate with their Super PACs. Not only does that give a clear advantage to the wealthiest candidate, it enables candidates hands to remain relatively clean, should they choose, by allowing their Super PACs to fling all the really nasty feces.
Last week, Colbert announced that he is considering a run for President of the United States of South Carolina, and ran an ad calling Mitt Romney a serial killer for killing off numerous corporations (who are people, my friend) during his stint at Bain Capital.
Today, he released a video asking South Carolina primary voters to vote for Herman Cain, despite the fact that hes not on the ballot.
The people of South Carolina are frustrated, says the announcer, Its less than a week before the election and theres still no candidate for us, plus, the economy
Thankfully, it goes on, there is still one name on the ballot that stands for true Americanimity, Herman Cain.

(35,138 posts)the same law that keeps Colbert's name off the ballot prevents Cain's from being removed
