And I had the privilege of seeing his live comedy show last week when he appeared near me (Albany, New York) as part of his nationwide comedy tour. Not only was he in good spirits and very, very funny - but the show here was sold out and he got a standing ovation from the appreciative and supportive audience! He had lots of stories about his Senate experiences and the audience here appeared to "get" every one of them!

Democratic political leaders to at least conduct an investigation.

And we really, really could use him now! I still believe that his chief accuser was a nutty troublemaker and am also disappointed that his colleagues failed to support him.

His show was quite impressive. He had the audience completely engaged though he held forth for two hours with only a microphone, a stool and three glasses of water. And he did his famous freehand drawing of the United States while he spoke - and offered to donate to a local Democratic cause...

I think he's going to be in Boulder in Feb. I would love to see him. That'd even be worth staying in CO this winter.

11. According to the schedule, he'll be in Boulder next month (12/4), but the show is already sold out!

And there was so much content - stories and jokes - to his show that I'd love to see him again! And the show in Albany, New York, was also sold out, the seats I was able to get were in the front row on the extreme right hand aisle, and I wondered about the visibility, but those seats couldn't have been better, we were very close! If you get a chance, you'd love the show. He had so many funny stories about his time in Congress and I was impressed with the audience since they knew exactly who and what he was referring to. I wish I had a video!

13. The show in Albany was also reportedly sold out, but we were there early and the box office guy

Was selling a pair of tickets to a mother and daughter who were in Albany to visit the state university. So apparently there were cancellations. And the guy wasn't doing a great job telling them about Al Franken, so when we saw them later, I filled them in and recommended the show. I wish I knew how they liked it, but the rest of the audience sure did. They gave him a standing ovation.

And please let me know! You won't be sorry if you get to see him!

15. It cost more than two bits to see his show, but it was totally worth it.

And having seen his show, he's just as sharp - and funny - as ever. He told one story about how when hs committee was waiting in the Senate cloakroom, Diane Feinstein would ask him to tell a joke. When he ran out of his stock of "safe" jokes, he told one that was definitely "off-color." But neither Feinstein or Chuck Schumer "got" it, Claire McCaskill had to explain it to them.

But I miss him, too. He was just the best...

I'll never get over it.. but Al has and I support whatever he does. His podcast is great. He had John Testor on once who apologized for calling for his resignation.

Especially now that he's again a resident of New York.
