Baltimore Sun's Zurawik on "The Equalizer" reboot following tonight's Super Bowl.

I don't know how to link the whole article, but David Zurawik starts out he doesn't get excited about network reboots of previously successful series, but when he watched Queen Latifah in this one he liked what he saw. Not up to Denzel Washington's (swoon) movie version of the series but Queen Latifah makes it work. Interesting, also, when he described his reaction to watching the coverage of Officer Brian Sicknick's services at the capital.

His final paragraph: "I hope the producers and writers will take the time to make McCall a more complex character in subsequent episodes. But I am satisfied with what I have seen in the pilot. I'll take a moral character anywhere I can find her on television these days."

But these reboots are lazy and unoriginal. Hollywood keeps making retreads. Why? No imagination left?
