5. I Fear That the Great American Experiment in Democracy is Over.

A functioning democracy requires the good faith participation of at least two political parties. Right now, there is only one party that is participating in the democratic process in good faith and honoring the will of the people, and that's the Democrats. It takes at least two to tango. I fear that our whole political system is breaking down, and we may be heading into a second American civil war.

What do you guys think? I would really like some feedback on this.

6. The GOP has been undermining democracy for ages. Nixon committed treason during the Vietnam

War to keep it going. LBJ kissed off the South on behalf of civil rights. One has to wonder how the slave states would be now if the GOP hadn't picked them up and perpetuated, protracted, cultivated their assault on creating a more perfect union. No need to list all their crimes against those conditions necessary for democracy to exist.

When you were in school, were you taught the reality of so many things, resulting in the phony American exceptionalism? Were we students taught how democracy was sabotaged in other countries? I wasn't. I learned the outcomes, but not the processes. Nothing was spelled out.

We are ignorant to the point of choosing fascism, electing it. I think our history and government education needs to be overhauled.
