2. He redid his initial monologue segment, he was so incensed by Trump's actions

And not for the first time! I remember there was once breaking Trump news while he was taping his monologue - think it was the announcement of the first meet-up between Trump and Kim Jong-un - so he ignored his prepared remarks and ad-libbed the rest! Stephen Colbert keeps up with the news!

4. This isn't the first time Colbert has started over, but I've never seen him so genuinely emotional

He has taken this election - and Trump's malfeasance - dead seriously since day #1!

6. I remember how awful I felt in 2004, but this is much worse, I have been genuinely scared

And MSNBC keeps talking about Pennsylvania since that would clinch the Biden win, but I agree about Georgia - that would be both historic and a gift for Jimmy Carter!

9. Good thing I wasn't on mic in that NV piece

(at 7:03 in the first clip).

When the spokesperson was interrupted by "BBQ - Beer - Freedumb," I would have probably made a career-limiting (or -ending) gesture by asking "Would someone please change his diaper?!?"
