Reducing spending is a code word for cutting benefits to real people.

Look, now that the gop has run up massive debt through giveaways and wasteful spending, they are going to suddenly chant the fiscal control through reduced spending mantra.

That means cutting programs like ss/medicare/medicaid, environmental protection, regulation at all levels, aid to disaster regions... the list is endless.
