1. Oh: FORMER Republican members of Congress. It's too bad...

... that sitting Congressional Republicans have to leave their spines at home. Probably by the front door, where their balls (if they own a pair) dangle on a keyhook.

2. I know, it boggles the mind when I see Rep. Steve Scalise continuing to support Republican policies

When he was actually the victim of a shooting! When they completely ignored all the compelling evidence presented at the impeachment hearings, that said it all. Apparently, anything at all is just fine with them.

3. I have to say ...

that I have been really impressed with Steele. When he was RNC chairman, I always thought he was a clueless dolt he always sounded scripted in interviews, and I often wondered if he actually knew what he was saying.

Hes very different now not in the fact that what hes saying is different (for obvious reasons), but in the way hes saying it. He sounds much more intelligent, much better informed, much more interested in the topic at hand.

Like him or not, I have to admit that I was wrong when I thought he was just another RW dummy who wasnt capable of more than spewing memorized soundbytes. Hes actually quite smart, and more of a thinking man than Id imagined.

4. I like him, too. He's grown on me since I've been watching him on MSNBC for quite awhile

He seemed to be a good fit there which was initially surprising. But you're right, he thinks, which goes against the policy of the new breed of Trump-supporting Republicans. I first took notice of him when he appeared with Bill Maher as Lt. Governor of Maryland - which did indicate he had some guts, LOL. With his background and insight, he's going to be an asset to The Lincoln Project, I just hope he keeps up his appearances on MSNBC.

5. He has gotten better, but I have to wonder why he still calls himself republican

Anyone but me remember all the things they, the gop said about him including laughingly calling him the token black? It was pretty awful

6. Well, most of the anti-Trumpers have left the party, Steve Schmidt, Nicolle Wallace

But from what he and others have said, they no longer to consider the cult of Trump to be the Republican party, conservative principles, small government, it's become all about supporting whatever insane idea that Trump comes up with these days. Unlike previously when it was 54 pages, as was said, they have no other platform. Maybe he hopes it can be resurrected in the future, but he may join the others in The Lincoln Project to leave what the Republican party has become.
