Australia: Firefighters prank Scottish reporter into holding 'deadly vicious' Koala Bear.

Last edited Mon Jan 13, 2020, 04:57 AM - Edit history (3)

Taking a break, firefighters in South Australia pranked a Scottish Reporter about the 'Drop Bear', an imaginary 'deadly vicious' cousin of the Koala Bear and gave her one to hold.

It was the first time many had laughed in a week of horror.

3. Sending up thoughts and (koala) bears for this reporter

Back in the day (~40 years ago), TV stations and networks would join forces to create "Christmas tape," containing the best outtakes, foul-ups, and pranks like this one. This tape would not be released to the general public, but I got a copy through my media contacts. I still have that VHS copy, but -- without a VCR -- I have no way to play it. Not even sure the tape would survive intact.

Maybe that tradition should be revived...

15. Even if the content is copyrighted?

Thereís at least one local shop that does the conversation, but I havenít gone there because they would probably refuse on that basis.

4. A Koala's claws could still tear you up if it felt like it

Here are some Koala facts, like many of them enjoy lesbian sex and are infected with STDs. https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/59114/10-things-you-didnt-know-about-koalas

Not directed at OP ... and don't mind me, just being my usual pedantic self

10. Marsupials are mammals, as are montremes,

including, Ornithorhynchus anatinus, the platypus, which has neither a placenta or pouch.

13. Really? Okay, fair enough ... they do have mammary glands, so ... I guess makes sense.

They're definitely not bears

14. Actually, I'v been told that koalas are irritable little buggers that can give you some nasty

scratches with those claws. They also smell terrible.
