2. And that's exactly why I post them

I know that a lot of DUers don't stay up as late as I do and some don't have TV - But Colbert and his late night colleagues help keep me sane after a day of Trump news, so I figured we needed more humor here right now. I realize that Paul McCartney isn't exactly political, but I knew he'd be popular here anyway.

4. I know. And it's not too often that we see Stephen get flustered...

9. You can tell that Stephen was equally impressed!

But I agree that this was such a terrific personal interview, he did a great job. BTW, I saw Paul McCartney live in concert just a couple of years ago - he's still got it, performed numerous encores, and the crowd just loved him!

11. Well, it was nosebleed seats and they weren't very comfortable

Especially through all those encores! And he was pretty small from there so they had these large screens on either side that broadcast him and his band much larger. But it was still quite a thrill to know it was really him and just to see and hear him in person. Like Stephen was saying, he was and is larger than life, but despite that, he couldn't have been more personable - and he really did play everything!

And I'm so glad that I can post Colbert for you and others here who might miss it. He's kept me sane through these awful Trump days and that's why I started posting him, we really need as much humor as we can get now and Colbert never disappoints!

Iíve been in those nosebleed seats and have had to watch the screens too. Luckily we have them now. Back in the day we needed binoculars.

7. George Martin once said that if the Beatles hadn't been musicians,

they would've been 4 comedians.
