What is causing global warming?

The deniers have shifted from saying there is no global warming to saying it's just natural cycles. So fucking tired of the anti-science crap that is killing millions of people every year.

1. There was a time up into the 80s that I didn't really believe that humans caused global warming

Partly I figured it was just some natural cycle. But I think a lot of it was just that I was young and didnít have a lot of years to look back at to compare. So, just being older itís easy to observe changes over the years. But I wasnít convinced about the part of being caused by humans. It was listening to my Heat Transfer professor and some simple math that convinced me. I use that as an example that even if I have a strong opinion about something, my opinion can be changed, especially with rational arguments. There are so many people, and I think more-so today, who just dig their heals in when presented with evidence that dispels some belief of theirs. The Trump crowd and Trump himself are prime examples, but it's not limited to those on the right. Plenty of those who would be thought of as left wingers are guilty of it too. And what with the internet supplying backup for every idea under the sun I think itís getting worse these days.

It is hard to believe that tiny little man can alter the climate of the earth. But when you start looking at it, billions and trillions of tons going into the atmosphere year after year it is easier to believe. And then there are all sorts of indirect actions, like an increase in temperature releasing methane from the permafrost. I feel sorry for the generations who follow us.
