1. He couldn't even come up with the 23rd Psalms which most people at least know of...

from going to a funeral and being handed one of those cards with it printed on it.

And isn't that interviewer the disgrace Halperin who is trying to make a comeback after sexual harassment kayoed his career?

After all, Trump is the chosen one, King of the Jews, blah blah

6. Bad headline, he wasn't tricked into admitting anything. (n/t)

7. Maybe subtlety isn't the strong suit of some people,

but, his comments are ludicrous and they prove that he knows nothing about the bible. Anyone who has even a passing familiarity with it can and WILL name passages that are inspirational to them. He's dodging the answer because he must. Anyone who can't see that is either oblivious or easily fooled.

9. Right, but we already knew that. He wasn't tricked. He admitted nothing.

Most of us already knew that he didn't have a clue about the bible, going back to at least "two corinthians." So the fact that he did his usual evasion (as he does on any subject that he knows nothing about) was to be expected. If he'd actually been tricked into admitting something, that would have been a surprise! Alas, it was just more of his usual nonsense. Not worth having to listen to his voice for.

10. There is an old Russian saying.

It's "Reading the white spaces." Sometimes what people don't say reveals everything.

11. Of course. But he didn't reveal anything we didn't already know.

Again, all I'm saying is, he wasn't tricked, and he admitted nothing. IMO, it's a clickbait headline.

8. It won't matter to Evangelicals . . .

. . . Evangelicals have decided he is God's chosen, if flawed vessel, in the mold of King David in the Old Testament.

12. But to be fair, do you think he actually read "The Art of the Deal?"

Somebody else wrote it. And it's more than one page long. Though it is about him. I'm still gonna go with, no, he never did.

13. Sarah Palin reads all the newspapers too

Totally clear he's a liar. Real evangelicals (and little Marco Rubio on Twitter who tweets a verse a day) love to share the "good News" by quoting Bible verses until the cows come home.
