Satan's henchman grover norquist started a propaganda project designed to favorably embed the evil old bastard's memory in every 'Murican's consciousness:

The aim is to name something--a memorial, building, etc.--in EVERY COUNTY in the USA. No escaping the racist's name. I think re-naming is in order, since raygun is just the spiritual descendant of all of those confederate generals who are losing their public monuments. Although, to give him credit, he didn't commit treason on the same scale as declaring an overt civil war--he just cut a deal with Iran's mullahs before he "won" against Carter, then tore up the Constitution over Iran-Contra.

Philadelphia, Mississippi. As a southerner, in 1976 Carter carried the entire South. In 1980, he only carried Georgia.
