Those questions would have been right up her alley.

11. I'm not either, but he talked about both Trump and Hillary Clinton

So I figured folks here would be interested and that part was very interesting, as you said.

13. 1990-2000 I used to listen to Stern now and then on my morning commute. After a while I got turned

off by the antics that were clearly aimed towards the male, 16-50 (?) crowd (a Clear Channel staple in my area) and all the adolescent potty humor. Not that he was alone, he was just better at it then most others. I have never listened to his Sirius show and I have had XM since about 2000, so I can't speak to that. But I enjoyed the interview with Colbert and he came across as genuine, sort of a guy trying to re-create himself late in life. There seems to be some sort of respect between he and Colbert. The problem is the influence and damage he did to get where he is today. By "damage" I mean influencing opinions. We often see posts on DU about how the bar has been lowered for this or that. I think Stern was one of those that helped lower that bar. I don't begrudge him his free speech, yet I also don't trust his late career attempt to salvage dignity. Howard Stern had....and still has....one of the largest platforms to support people running for office. I have no idea whether or not he tried to use that for HRC or not. To go back now and say how much he supported her seems a bit lame. But, as I said, I haven't listened to him much in a long time so I could be off base.
Again, thanks for posting. Liked the interview, lukewarm on the interviewee.
Love Colbert...

15. Thanks for the explanation!

I've never been a fan, thought he was kind of misogynistic his humor was not my thing, but I never listened to his show so I shouldn't judge, I mainly just saw him on Letterman. And if he had Trump on, from what he said I don't think I would have liked his show - though my only exposure to Trump before his offensive campaign was a couple of Letterman interviews, too - where he came off as a bigoted jerk. I remember Dave arguing with him about "the mosque at Ground Zero," which was all I needed to know about Trump. And it doesn't sound much like Hillary Clinton's kind of show, either, but I do believe that he favored her over Trump - who wouldn't?? But the interview was pretty interesting when he got political - and I agree that he seems to respect Colbert so he was fairly forthcoming, and that made him appear more sympathetic than he would have otherwise.

I especially wanted to hear his thoughts on TRUMP and he did a great job doing that!
