The Fukushima Daiichi Disaster, although out of the news is still irradiating Japan, the Pacific Ocean and the world.

Kevin Kamps, a Nuclear Waste Expert explains the problem on the Thom Hartmann program,

1. The background radiation at ground zero in Fukushima is very, very low. I know because I went there

last year. Produce and other goods from Fukushima are now being sold on the market in Japan after being screened for radiation. Leakage of readioacqttive water into the ocean is of more concern, but I have not seen evidence that it is cause for concern in the US at this point. There is no "DNA crisis." That is fake news.

Thom Hartman's guest pointed out @3:40 how the radio isotopes are causing cancers, bone marrow dysfunction, and low brain size in monkeys. The radiation contamination effects all life forms and the cooling water they used to cool the melted cores has to go somewhere. The only thing stopping it being dumped into the ocean thus far has been the Japanese fishing industry.

So, it would appear there is a looming DNA altering crisis, at the very least, on a regional level. Dumping contaminated radioactive waste water into the ocean will have an affect, that's just scientific fact. Radiation alters DNA.

I'd suggest that if you are so confident in what you stated in your last two sentences, one of which carries water for RW talking points, maybe you could stand by your assertion. Perhaps freely consume the foods screened for radiation whenever possible, introducing it into your diet and the diet of your family members, children and loved ones.

Please let us know in about a decade what you found from your bold experiment, the crisis didn't have merit.
