The orange buffoon should not be pardoned, neither should his family, the damage they have done in only two years in office will take a long time and a lot of money to fix, not only that, but him quitting would leave us with Pence, no thank you!

Ford’s pardon of Nixon sent the message that you can commit crimes and escape punishment when you’re an important man. Had Nixon been prosecuted, the message would have been stronger that no person is above the law. As many high-flying white collar criminals in this country have learned, including Donald Trump with his years of cheating on taxes and outright fraud, crime indeed does pay. If Trump is allowed to avoid any punishment, what’s to stop future presidents and elected leaders from doing even worse crimes assuming they can won’t truly be punished?

If he's not a trump loyalist (and lets be honest here.. there isnt any such thing. There are trump opportunists, but not loyalists), then he's either russian owned, or he is what he appears to be.. Sarah Palin minus the meth.

Given the choices.. how much does it really matter? Its bad for the USA no matter which.

I get the impression that what they are doing, really, is pushing their own videos, to increase their business or to get clicks (they get paid for each click). So they post them on multiple sites and forums. As opposed to a real member who is contributing to the discussion.
And I've watched a couple where I watch and watch and never get to the part that the headline says. Wasted time.

Nobody has got anything if someone isn't going to come forward and go on record with a verifiable source.

It's grating as hell watching half the media ignore the fact that Mueller already had this information and Cohen (hopefully with a tape recording) was just a means to independently verify that data.

If it's bound up in Mueller's investigation, once again we are trapped in the holding pattern as we wait for Mueller to publish.

God, I wish this shit was over..but this is all a bit premature, especially without the Republican senate openly endorsing impeachment filings.

His poll numbers go down, the GOP lawmakers take note and have less fear of him and stop supporting so many of his lies.

His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.[6][7]

The above quote appears in the report, A Psychological Analysis of Adolph Hitler: His Life and Legend, by Walter C. Langer,[8][9] which is available from the US National Archives. It also appears, unreferenced, in Langer's ebook by the same title[10]. A somewhat similar quote appears in Analysis of the Personality of Adolph Hitler: With Predictions of His Future Behaviour and Suggestions for Dealing with Him Now and After Germany's Surrender, by Henry A. Murray, October 1943[11]:

Never to admit a fault or wrong; never to accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time; blame that enemy for everything that goes wrong; take advantage of every opportunity to raise a political whirlwind

He said at his sentencing, I think it was:

Michael Cohen said Friday he was in “close and regular contact” with Trump’s White House staff and legal team when he prepared a statement for Congress that he now says falsely downplayed Trump’s effort to land a Trump Tower Moscow deal during the 2016 presidential campaign.

In a filing seeking a lenient sentence, Cohen’s attorneys say his false statement to Congress — which Cohen pleaded guilty to on Thursday — was based on Trump and his team’s efforts to “portray contact with Russian representatives” by Trump, his campaign or his company “as having effectively terminated before the Iowa caucuses of February 1, 2016.”

“Seeking to stay in line with this message, Michael told Congress that his communications and efforts to finalize a building project in Moscow on behalf of the Trump Organization, which he began pursuing in 2015, had come to an end in January 2016, when a general inquiry he made to the Kremlin went unanswered,” Cohen’s lawyers Guy Petrillo and Amy Lester write.

But “Michael had a lengthy substantive conversation with the personal assistant to a Kremlin official following his outreach in January 2016, engaged in additional communications concerning the project as late as June 2016, and kept [Trump] apprised of these communications,” they wrote. “He and [Trump] also discussed possible travel to Russia in the summer of 2016, and Michael took steps to clear dates for such travel.”

This was confirmed verbally at the sentencing hearing. I did not hear him say that Trump directed him to lie. Trump seems adept at keeping his direct involvement a secret.

I think he's more likely to double down on the obstruction or declare a national emergency, and deal the US another huge setback. First of all, Donald Trump is not a quitter. Second of all, the lunar transits that are happening this evening around the time of his proposed speech - a square to Mars followed quickly by an opposition to Saturn, are indicative of obstruction and setbacks. I know that Cenk gave some pretty good reasons for his prediction in this video, but I would personally be very surprised if he was right this time.
