5. I discovered early on that Goodwill and other thrift stores, if you look carefully,

has designer label clothing that rich people cast off. And all they need is a dry cleaning and no one will ever know. Especially in high income areas. My niece taught me this. Ross and Target and the other cheap new clothing outlets, as well as Kohl's et al are not much better than WalMart. Cheap. Non-label. Fall apart easily.

I've gotten $200 suits for $20. $200 coats for $50...on and on. I bought a full length black leather coat for $10...immaculate. Just have to look.Their inventory changes quickly. Sometimes for $5 or $10...really nice things. Maybe there is a small flaw, easily managed. But...look at the labels. You have to know what you're looking for. Good clothing lasts for years and years. Rich people get tired of them after a few months. I got many compliments on my clothing over the years...and inside, I smiled. If they only knew.

I have a closet full of clothes, many over 10, some 15 years old, that look like I just bought them. Of course, I have so many they don't get a lot of wear. Also, buy classic styles and don't be afraid to dry clean. Buy classics...they never go out of style. It's the new stylish and cheap clothes that go out of style. Just walk through WalMart. They have to change styles often because their stuff falls apart and looks limp and cheap...which it is.
