2. He's always excellent, whenever he's on anything, I stop and listen.

The one I'd never heard of was historian Nancy MacLean. What she had to say was blood curdling. I normally don't post anything but the captions when I post videos, but I didn't want anyone to skip over her interview!

I know that not everyone gets HBO - or even has TV - and the late night comedians are making political news these days, as well as giving us the humor we badly need. I was disappointed that HBO didn't upload the Malcolm Nance segment which I was most looking forward to, but little did I know that the Nancy MacLean interview would turn out to be the most newsworthy!

3. The Nancy MacLean segment has me terrified.

The Kochs, Trump and others are playing the long game to actually change our constitution in a radical and fundamental way; we are being distracted by the President’s tweets. They have 10 Liberty Amendments ready to go, such as the Balanced Budget Amendment (which will put an end to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security). Another is putting Voter ID in the Constitution. Another is revoking the 17th Amendment to allow state governments, which are more easily controlled by corporations, the ability to appoint US Senators. If these things happen, our democracy is essentially over.

4. That scared the hell out of me, too!

I thought it was the most important information we've heard since Trump took over - and we haven't heard about this from ordinary news venues. This usurper pledged to support and defend the Constitution, but his real aim - with the help of a hostile foreign power - is to subvert it to his own aims and benefits and those of his cronies. If that isn't grounds for impeachment, I don't know what is!

What she had to say scared me more than anything and I wish he would have let her speak a bit more. Essentially, she brought up the most important topic of the evening.

Well, all the info shared on that one show is telling us what we need to do here, save the country, develop a plan to do it and without delay.

11. Thank you! And I have to agree with you about the historian - yikes!

She was the only guest I hadn't heard of before - but she definitely stole the show! I'm hoping that her analysis goes viral - she needs to be on with Rachel, Lawrence, even Seth Meyers and Colbert! We need to wake people up!

Other than the summer going by way too quickly and either sweltering heat or thunderstorms (we lost power briefly last week for the first time since Hurricane Irene!), things are okay. Hope that you're having a decent summer, too!

13. It's been a little too hot and humid for me, so I spend a lot of time inside my air conditioned

workplace or apartment. I just can't bear being out in this heat. I feel like I need a shower after being outside for 15 minutes. I like it cool and dry and can't wait for fall. We have had a few thunderstorms here too, which I like, but they don't seem to be clearing the humidity like they usually do. Other than that, my summer is going well. Hope you are enjoying things in beautiful upstate NY!

14. I don't blame you! It must be oppressively hot in the city, too!

We've had record high temperatures here - when it isn't raining (like right now). It's now tourist season here, too, lots of traffic, not my favorite, and though there's a new ride that I keep seeing at Storytown (Great Escape ) that I'd love to try at least once, LOL, I can't help wondering how people working there now stand it! We thought it was hot back then...

10. MacLean's segment was scary as hell!

I was also shocked during Nance's comment about the 16yo hacker who got into a voting system in under 45 minutes and turned it into a jukebox. WHAT THE FUCK!? What is so crazy is everything MacLean was saying amounts to a conspiracy and those who are the "deep state" conspiracy "theorists" are too fucking stupid to see the actual conspiracy in action!

I was looking forward to the terrific guests he had on tonight - but I'd never heard of her before. However, what she had to say sure made a big impression on me, yikes! Scared the hell out of me!

And I completely agree with you! All this crazy talk about weird unimaginable "conspiracies" orchestrated by our best and brightest leaders - and here we have a real one happening that's being enabled by those who swore to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic!" We need to do more than vote them out - they need to face consequences!

I remember being nauseated all the way thru Joe& Mika's Koch Bros fluffer fiesta a couple of years ago. They owe it to America to have Nancy McClean on as an act of contrition for that. And on The View she'd be great too; let Megan just snarl around in her head
while McClean fills in the panel & audience about how close the insatiable Koch Bros are to ending our democracy via installing Kavanaugh (not their first, but Koch Bros fifth and majority SCOTUS judge in 2018 btw) for the coup de grasse..
