1. Ha ha.

I can already implement the keep the Republican away from the ballot box plan this month. There is a special election on June 30 to fill the unexpired term of Blake Farenthold for U. S. Representative. The race features the two Democrats and the two Republicans that were in the primary runoffs last month so we could possibly get an interim representative who won't be on the November ballot.

I already received two postcards from the Democrat that won the runoff to inform me about the election, but I'm not sharing that information with my brother. Since it is also his birthday that Saturday I suspect that I'll be able to eliminate one GOP vote.

2. LOL! You and I have the same idea!

Next Tuesday is primary day here in my-neck-of-the-woods. I don't know how much publicity this is getting, but I'm making a point of reminding certain people - many of whom ask me which candidate I'm supporting (there were 6! Democrats as of today, there used to be 10!) - and I'm more than happy to tell them, and why.

I'll obviously vote for whoever runs against the Trump supporting Ryan protegee that currently represents the district, but it would be nice to have a Rep from somewhere I've been. We got redistricted since I worked on two campaigns for the former Congressman whose house I usually pass every day and all but one remaining candidate is even from our former district.
