events and tours. Visit to see the original historic theatre, museum exhibits with artifacts and the preserved Presidential Box where Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln sat to watch the popular comedy play, "Our American Cousin" on that fateful night April 14, 1865.

And I remember clearly the 100 year anniversary of the end of the Civil War.

I now, here I am, two years away from being 3/4 of a century old myself. Not that long ago at all.

I have several letters he wrote to his mother when he was away. Very delicate and elaborate penmanship that is quite challenging to tead, and rather eerie, too, when he writes about being able to see “the Rebs.”

He went to Fords Theatre with his godmother. I have watched the video several times and then clicked on several other game shows of the 50's and early 60's. Everyone smoked!

coming out to appear as a surprise guest on Gary Moore's show "What's My Line?" The fall he took that day was very unfortunate.

And I remember when the last union bugle boy died because it was in my Weekly Reader. I am SO damn old!
