NDAA on trial: Obama Administration fights ban on indefinite detention of Americans

White House lawyers have been recently defending the National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA. They have been arguing that jailing Americans indefinitely without trial in some instances is necessary for the safety and security of the country.

Tangerine Bolen of Revolution Truth and a plaintiff in the case against the NDAA joins RT's Kristine Frazao to discuss the matter.

3. The Patriot Act, The Military Commission Act, NDAA.....

C'mon Mr. Obama.... do we really need this?

You have the American people submissive and down on their knees.... what good will this overkill do you?

You approved 30,000 secret drones to spy on Americans, you have privatized our prisons, you can wire tap and eavesdrop at will.. so why do yo need this?

Let's be a little progressive and get behind the people....

4. Our "newz media" so-called could not be more derelict in their duty

than in this case.

The shameful shroud of silence around these court
proceedings is deafening.

6. Two toes stuck in a sling (O and Mitt)

She said president Obama and Mitt Romney would have the same opinion about this. I'm going to leave it at that until I get more research on the matter

9. "But 1984's already past"

Yup. That's what an otherwise-intelligent coworker told me to explain why he'd never read it.

10. And he will get away with it

because the alternative is 10x worse. No electoral consequences for him on this and many of the other Bush style policies he kept because we have very limited choice in our elections. Sad but this is 2 party democracy for you.
