Life of Delores Huerta on tonite. PBS doc. Must See (& FK Off Sarandon & those who defended her )

Am watching this PBS doc.
What an amazing woman Delores is.
Her life story must be watched.

A moving part I did not realize about her, was the night she stood next to Sen Robert Kennedy as he introduced this young woman.
A short time later he would be murdered.
Racism & sexism exists today as strongly as it did then.
From the effects of toxic crop dusting on the Latino farm workers to the rise of Farm Workers Labor Union.
Delores Huerta was a constant figurehead as she stood strong in her fight for rights.

WOW. This doc tells more than her story, it shows the racial hatred that still breeds in the same people in our society today

This youtube tells a brief of what the Official 2 hour Doc on Independent Lens covers.

If you can find the 2 hour Official Independent Lens Documentary online please watch it.
It is a reminder of what the Republican Party has always stood against.

I believe you can see it at the PBS Link above.
Don't know if Netflix or such will show it.

3. I bet I can get it on

the On Demand channel. Spectrum cable really does suck but every now and then they do something right. If not, I'll try your link. Unfortunately I'm still at work for a couple more hours.

4. It followed her history thru the 60's & on. Many events I recall were blurred from my teens & 20's

And to see it as an older adult now, tells much of what I wasn't aware of at the time.

There wasn't a time in her life where she wasn't aware of issues that needed attention
