Senator Sanders: We Can't Deregulate the Largest Banks in America

How absurd is this - today my Republican colleagues along with some Democrats tell us that we should be spending all of our time on the floor deregulating some of the largest banks in America. Are our memories so short that we have learned nothing from the 2008 Wall Street crash?

1. Maybe I'm searching for the wrong stuff on here....

..but I can't believe I couldn't find any posts other than this one on this horrible Crapo bill. Is it because 17 Democrats are enabling this that we're not allowed to bring it up?

I'm sorry, but I just don't buy that any regular voter, even in red states, are concerned in the least bit about some minor restrictions on banks so I don't buy for a minute the likely excuse that's given out on here for shit like this that "they need to listen to their constituents.

Why are these Democrats (especially our former VP candidate Tim Kaine)? supporting this?

2. For the reasons Bernie talked about as a candidate. Money in politics being at the forefront.

There's a reason he is likely the most disliked politician by Wall St. and the big banks. Look for more attacks on him as the election gets closer. Focusing the public's attention on taxes, financial regulation and income inequality is a threat to some powerful interests and embarrassing for some politicians.
