The Confederate armies actually had many generals of the last name Jackson, so many that Jefferson Davis couldn't keep them straight. Most of them, like Alfred E. Jackson (no joke, you Mad fans), were pretty bad generals by comparison to Thomas J., the "real" Stonewall. (Stonewall himself noted that the nickname was actually applied to his troops by the dying General Barnard Bee, not himself, and that seems to be partly why he tolerated the nickname when he otherwise frowned on frivolity.)

So a number of the Generals Jackson seem to have earned the derisive nickname "Mudwall," enough so that determining which general was "Mudwall" is difficult.

Porter Alexander noted that after Alfred E. finally managed to win a battle (thanks to vigorous prodding from his more able subordinates), his troops promoted him to "Brickwall."

I'm pretty sure that we're going to see Stonewall Romney demoted to Mudwall Romney, and once the leaks start flowing, the dyke is going to fail and wash his chances of winning this thing straight away.
