4. It's not about immigrants

it's about people with European heritage even if they are from Australia or Eastern Europe or wherever as being superior to people from America who have different heritage and more melanin in their skin.

Many of these people even use what Europeans did to the Native Americans as evidence of why cultures should be separated instead of melting pot.

A lot of them are proud to have liberals call them racist and they boast of it often online.

6. They don't challenge Murdoch because they like their bottom line

If anyone at NBC starts reporting on Murdoch, Murdoch will call the CEO of NBC and negotiate a cease-fire.

Just like Murdoch did with GE CEO Immelt when Olbermann was calling out O'Reilly. Murdoch effectively got Olbermann muzzled.

And why do CEO's bend to Murdoch? Because they know a mutual ceasefire helps everyone's bottom line. There's no value in attacking anyone else's CEO.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/01/business/media/01feud.html

It was a media cage fight, televised every weeknight at 8 p.m. But the match was halted when the blood started to spray executives in the high-priced seats.

The reconciliation — not acknowledged by the parties until now — showcased how a personal and commercial battle between two men could create real consequences for their parent corporations. A G.E. shareholders’ meeting, for instance, was overrun by critics of MSNBC (and one of Mr. O’Reilly’s producers) last April.

In late 2007, Mr. O’Reilly had a young producer, Jesse Watters, ambush Mr. Immelt and ask about G.E.’s business in Iran, which is legal, and which includes sales of energy and medical technology. G.E. says it no longer does business in Iran.

...

Shortly after, Phil Griffin, the MSNBC president, told producers that he wanted the channel’s other programs to follow Mr. Olbermann’s lead and restrain from criticizing Fox directly, according to two employees. At Fox News, some staff members were told to “be fair” to G.E.

The executives at both companies, it appears, were relieved. “For this war to stop, it meant fewer headaches on the corporate side,” one employee said.

3. There are a disappointing number of DUers who echo those sentiments

that one culture is superior to others, brown people are immigrants, and anyone of South Asian heritage must be on some job stealing visa and can't possibly be a US citizen

Some don't seem to realize why it's wrong to treat American minorities as perpetual foreigners in our own country.

And it all aligns nicely with Tucker's demonization of legal immigrants and children/grandchildren of legal immigrants who don't have European Heritage. Multiculturalism leads to perceived "problems" like electing a president named Barack Obama instead of Blondie McOrangeFace. They think promoting the myth of a perpetual foreigner will prevent a future Barack Obama or Kamala Harris.

America has elected immigrants to the US Congress and it bothers them that most are Democrats.

7. I remember him in the early days post Katrina.

He was on the ground, working for CNN, and he seemed to be genuinely moved by what he was seeing.

Whether or not he actually felt something, I know that the guy is a shit. Money is most important to him, and he will do or say anything that benefits him financially. He is a true media whore.

8. Because, as Hamilton might put it, he flatters their prejudices.

He's also a real snob who thinks of them as sub-human - which is fitting since white supremacists like to think of everyone else in those terms.
