Earlier this week, Republican lawmakers attempted to shut down an independent ethics body that was put in place to put an end to corruption in Washington, D.C. 1. I was checking Free Republic for the amusement of it after this story broke and they bent over

backwards blaming the Democrats for the change and making excuses, it was amusing to say the least.

2. They didn't abandon the plans. They just won't do it right now.

When we're a little more distracted they will sneak it into some completely unrelated bill at the last minute. That might sound unethical to you, but who's gonna investigate it?
