'As a way of reducing national deficits, austerity is terribly ineffective policy, as it weakens the middle-class tax base and long-term economic growth. But as a way of raking more money out of the middle class and into the pockets of the super-wealthy parasitic brigands, it's fantastic policy.'

I always knew that this was the conservative plan. I don't know why so many progressives and liberals stay in denial. I know it's a nice place, but that's also been planned. Many have blinders on, then they squeal 'But they wouldn't do that!'

Sure as hell they would. It's good for 'the bottom line.' Not all people suffer equally in bad economic times, some profit wonderfully. Why wouldn't they help to keep that going as long as they can?

You are not in their circle. They don't care about you or your life, they don't believe in the equality of man and all of that. There's no need for animosity or moralizing, just accept that some people intend to profit handsomely off you and your family's suffering.

Then make sure they don't get a chance to do it so often that they literally kill you doing it.

Someone at an Occupy rally explained this to me around the end of October and it seems to be true judging from the past 30 years and especially the last 10.
