Indeed, when they poll people on the subject of the trustworthiness of public institutions, the only one that enjoys almost unanimous trust is the military.
And Republicans have undermined even that, what with the trillion-dollar wars and corruption such as 'cost-plus' they've been forced to take part in over the last 15 years especially.
